![]() Quartered Safe Out Here describes Fraser’s experiences during the Burma campaign, from his first encounter with the enemy, through the battles of Meiktila and Pyawbwe, until final victory. He arrived after the great battles of Kohima and Imphal the Japanese Army, after all its earlier aggression, was finally in retreat. Once he reached 19, Fraser was sent to fight in Burma as part of 14 th Army. ![]() When he was old enough, he joined the Army and was assigned to his county’s traditional unit, The Border Regiment.
